Individual Accident Insurance for Cardholders

The Individual Accident Insurance for Cardholders Agreement may be concluded between any natural person who is the holder of a payment account in BGN at DSK Bank EAD for which the Bank has issued a card in his name, i.e. the Cardholder. The Cardholder shall be aged between 18 and 64 as of the date of the beginning of the insurance cover.  The Cardholder may not be over 65 upon the expiry of the insurance coverage.

Risks covered

• Death of the Insured caused by an accident;
•  Permanent disability of the Insured (over 50% ) caused by an accident

Term of the insurance cover

• The term of the insurance cover is one year.
• The term of the insurance cover is automatically renewed each year.

The insurance cover is not renewed automatically if:

• either party notifies the other party that it does not want the term to be renewed;
• the Insured has turned 65;
• the Insured does not pay the insurance premium for the renewal of the term of the insurance cover.

Sum insured – according to the Cardholder’s choice. The options are:

• BGN 25 000
• BGN 40 000

The Cardholder may conclude more than one agreement for Individual Accident Insurance for Cardholders with the Insurer; however, the total amount of the Sum insured under all agreements may not exceed BGN 50 000.

Term and methods of payment of the premium

The insurance premium is annual. The annual insurance premium is debited from the payment account of the Insuring party on the grounds of a given written order for non-cash payment of a service.
