With a special activation focused on prevention and road safety, Groupama chose to take part in this year's celebrations welcoming the arrival of the new Beaujolais.

The event, traditionally celebrating the arrival of the new vintage of iconic French Beaujolais wine, gathered over 2,000 people at the National Palace of Culture (NDK) this year. The French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry traditionally brings together partners, business representatives in Bulgaria, and lovers of French style to celebrate the French tradition of New Beaujolais together.

In line with its long-standing causes of enhancing security and prevention, Groupama selected this event to once again highlight the essential topic of road safety. The company's booth, which enjoyed huge interest from guests, focused on personal responsibility on the road and the vital importance of never driving under the influence of alcohol.

Visitors could try special goggle simulators that mimic the visual impairment and altered perception caused by blood alcohol levels between 0.8 and 1.5 per mille. Wearing these goggles, participants tested their accuracy by aiming wine corks at large glasses, experiencing firsthand the sensory changes that lead to serious risks on the road.

Participants also received custom car stickers emphasizing road safety and responsible driving.

Beaujolais Nouveau in late November feels like a dress rehearsal for the upcoming holiday season. As a French insurer, Groupama is more than happy to participate in and share these exciting celebrations.

Official guests included Vice President Iliana Iotova, French Ambassador Marie Dumoulin, and NDK Executive Director Andriyana Petkova.
