With Groupama's support, VUF is launching the first National Insurance Competition for high school and university students

19.09.2026

The University of Finance, Business and Entrepreneurship (VUF) is launching an annual national insurance competition for high school and university students. Applications for the inaugural edition are now open, with registration closing on December 14.

Institutional partners of the competition are the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) and the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABZ). The main partner for this first edition is Groupama Insurance EAD.

The competition aims to highlight the importance of the insurance industry, showcase the career opportunities it offers young people in Bulgaria, and emphasize its vital role in the economy and broader society.

The competition is open to all 11th and 12th-grade high school students in Bulgaria, as well as students enrolled in Bulgarian universities and colleges, regardless of their degree level or field of study.

The competition features two categories — High School Students and University Students — and consists of three stages: registration, a case study analysis, and an interview.

After signing up via the registration form, participants advance to stage two: solving a case study. This phase runs from December 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026.

Participants will tackle a case study tailored to their respective category (High School or University). They will need to analyze the scenario, propose alternative solutions, and justify their recommended approach.

The final stage — the Interview — will take place between January 20 and 30, 2026. It will evaluate candidates' ability to present and defend their solutions, alongside their personal drive for further academic and career growth.

Winners will be selected by a jury made up of representatives from the organizing team and event partners.

Entrants will compete for cash prizes, scholarships, and internship opportunities provided by the organizers and partners. Groupama is offering the winning university students a 6-month paid internship with the company.
