More than 30 high school and university students from across the country joined the first National Insurance Competition, organized by the University of Finance, Business and Entrepreneurship (VUZF). Groupama Insurance partnered for the initiative, offering two of the participating students a 6-month paid internship at the company.

Institutional partners of the competition were the Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) and the Association of Bulgarian Insurers (ABI). Participants competed for cash prizes, scholarships, and internships provided by the organizers and partners.

The competition winners were awarded at a ceremony on March 9. Maria Marinova, Director of Insurance Services and Health, presented the awards on behalf of Groupama Insurance.

"We look forward to welcoming the two young women who won the Groupama awards to our department. Their projects in health insurance showed genuine interest and deep analytical thinking, and we believe the hands-on experience they gain with us will be an important milestone for them," commented Marinova. "Both girls stood out with their professional, sharp approach. We believe that at Groupama they will further build their communication, teamwork, and personal accountability," she added.

For two months, participating students worked on case studies and analyzed the motor insurance and health insurance market in Bulgaria.

The competition aimed to highlight the value of the insurance business and the career opportunities it offers young people in Bulgaria, while emphasizing its broader role in the economy and society.
